I have just discovered that my little printer (or actually “multifunction device”) does a very good job of scanning photos.
So far, I’ve done some reasonably recent colour prints, as well as some old black & white prints (taken with a Brownie Box camera!) and even some photo cards. I then took the resultant JPG files to the local digital photo place and did 6×4 matte prints. There was some cropping, although most were perfect. One square photo will have to printed on square paper but apart from that, it has been a total success.
I’ll have to get more organised, now that I know it’s a working solution. Setup a production line. Woot!
